Summer Happenings

Our summer is filled with things to do, and Lisa does a great job organizing it all and making it all happen.

Grammy and Opa visited a few weeks ago, and Finn created this nice welcome picture on our blackboard.  It actually took him about three days to create, and Opa was very impressed and pointed it out a few times.

I don't have many pictures of their visit, but here are a few of Papa going to the fireworks with us on the 4th.

There is a beach at our lake sort of dedicated to dogs, so here is Watson enjoying that.  The kids got a real kick out of him doggy paddling when you held him out of the water, as all dogs do.

Kellan was not to be left out of doing blackboard drawings.  It's interesting that our two boys really are the artists in the family.  Finn is REALLY good, and Kellan is following close in his footsteps.

Going up to Lake Superior for a day is one of my favorite things to do.  It's peaceful, there's nothing to get done and work on, the waves and wind sort of wash over you, we get to pretend roadtrip on the way up...  so many good things.

Cora just attacks the water.  She is basically the only one.

Lots of fort building, by everyone.

I spend most of the time looking out into the distance in sort of a meaningful way.  :).

Lisa took the kids to a friends swimming pool for a few hours.

Also to a community pool...

These two basically do everything together in the summer, and we're fine with that.

Most recently, the kids went with Lisa up to visit the Horsmans who were staying at our cabin for the week.  It's not their cabin, it's ours, but we let them use it every now and then.
