Almost the end of February....

...so we're almost done with climbing!  Only 2 sessions left, this coming Thursday and Saturday.

Cora in the green shirt and Finn in the maroon.

This past Sunday morning the kids sang with the kids choir in church, and now they are practicing again for the Palm Sunday program.  I took this photo during the rehearsal before the service starts, and clearly little boy in dad's arms did not want to participate...poor kiddo.

St. Lucia 2020

Just about 3 months late...but we had a wonderful time at Greg and Andrea's house!  Taryn wore a dress worn by Anja about 13 years earlier...sniff... So cute, these kids!

This was the lineup, Oldest to youngest (mostly), except for Layla carrying Taryn.  Kellan at the end took an immediate detour and turned left into the dining room instead of following everyone else around into the kitchen...you'll hear this moment happen in the video below...

Kellan going off course instead of around the kitchen island.

February 22nd update:

On Valentine's Day I took the kids to the Children's Museum while Jonas was out with a friend.  The worst behaved kids in the world were there that day, for some reason, and every parent glued to their phone.  The kids probably had 100% more fun than I did...haha.  BUT, I was delighted to get the kids out of the house.  We haven't really had an awful winter here, but as soon as the snow falls I become the most boring mom in the world and don't really want to leave home for anything.  Fun Mom only exists in Spring, Summer, and Fall around here...

Kellan loving the ride in the "real" fire truck

The new changing exhibit room is the hot wheels room.  BIG hit with #4.

Kellan and I stood at this table for about 20 minutes and threw every red car we could find down the ramp.  He loved it.

He had as much fun rolling balls on this ramp as he did in the Hot Wheels room.

Second to last stop of any trip...the car wash room.

Last stop of every trip:  the toddler water area.
Then we change Kellan into dry clothes and head home.

ALSO on Valentine's Day, while Cora was at Preschool that morning, Jonas took Layla and Finn ice skating.  Layla has gone very year for the last 4 years or so, but this was Finn's first real time ice skating on a rink inside.  Good times!

Climbing is going well this month!  Here is photo proof of Layla overcoming her fear of heights...or, I should say, just pushing through it...and she got to the top with coaching from Jonas.

This was a different day of climbing, in the bigger location in Bloomington:

These walls are INSANE looking to me.
That's Finn and Cora!

Here they are enjoying bouldering, where they can climb without ropes

Finn is doing portraits of everyone in the family.  He has done everyone but me...because he says my face is really hard to draw, haha.  He tried once, got discouraged, and hasn't been back for a second try for about a week now.  BUT, he is doing it, and I love them, so I sent Jonas on an errand to IKEA to grab some frames for them.  As long as Finn loves to do portraits I may have him do a family set once a year...
Here are the kids enjoying the $1 IKEA hot dogs.

This picture was a LONG AWAITED event...
On President's Day my cousin Sean and his 2 kids, along with Jonas and our older 3, went o see the new Sonic movie.  Finn and Tomas, Sean's older son, LOVE Sonic.  They've been planning this trip for months and months, so it was fun to see the event finally come to pass.  They loved the movie, of course.

What's this, you ask?  Oh, just another climbing trip...
