18 month stats:

I took Layla in for a (late) 18 month apt. yesterday. Items of note:
1. Her weight was 22 lbs, 4 oz. Does it count that I tried to get her to eat a ton before we left?? :)
2. Length = 30.5 inches (15th % of so...)
3. Head = no one really cares... :)
4. She has had LOTS and LOTS of diaper rashes lately (Seriously. One. After another. After another. All different kinds.), and her Ped had recommended that I get her tested for dairy allergies. :( If it IS an allergy (and not just an intolerance like I've been thinking), then it's a mild/not life-threatening one, but still...it could mean a lot of food changes for Layla AGAIN...just as we were getting her to eat a bit more. However, there is a slight chance it might explain why it is so hard to get her to eat a LOT at any sitting/during the day (if she feels sick after eating, etc.). So, I'm calling that apt. in today, and we'll see if little Layla takes after Claire and Anja in her dairy issues. Claire outgrew hers by Layla's age, right Renee? However, Anja--at 4.5 years old now--is just starting to be able to eat dairy. Fingers crossed!

Video from Children's Museum

This is Layla going up and down a ramp at the Children's Museum. In general, walking around on inclines is a big hit with her. I hope that she likes MORE of the place as the year goes on! :)

The Minnesota Children's Museum

Layla loved the "Winter building blocks" section of the toddler room. She felt very free to take from the little boy playing next to her, but she also shared often...with his parents...

More of the cute Spring dress from Aunt Renee:

What is she doing? She loves to take the balls from Uncle Eric's Christmas gift and throw them in the clothes hamper. Then she screams until I get them out and throw them away for her to chase...and when she has them again we repeat the process. :)

Taking after Mama?? :(

Check this out and let me know what you think: I have flat feet. My mom figured this out when I was between 4-5 years old, walking behind me one day. I have rarely seen Layla walk from behind, in shoes, and today when she was walking in her sandals I noticed a definite slant to her feet/ankles. Think she has flat feet like me? Sad, that this is the one noticeable thing I passed on to my daughter...other than her cheeks...

18 Months: March 20th

WOW was it hard to get her to stay still to take pictures! With TWO of us trying this is what we could come up with. The child does NOT want to be sitting...especially when she's on a rocker, THEN she'd prefer to be standing...anything that's dangerous. :)

No, it is NOT this warm here in MN...but in honor of her 18 month birthday being on the first day of official Spring, we tried on a dress from Aunt Renee. We are VERY excited to wear Claire and Anja's spring and summer dresses hand-me-downs. They are too cute!!

p.s. We have not yet learned how to sit in a dress... :)
