Layla showing me some songs she's learning in preschool for the Fall Harvest program:

Layla getting her bouncy house...the big reveal:

I love how at the last 2 seconds of the video you can hear her yelling "THANK YOU, EVERYONE!!" She's just so sweet.  :)

Layla's big birthday party:

Layla's birthday party was a huge success...and for one more year I avoided having a "friend" birthday party for her! ;)  I'm pretty sure that once she starts getting invited to them through school she's going to want to have one of her own.  My goal:  keep expectations very small.  Haha!  I'm so the opposite of Renee when it comes to parties...

Delicious baby!

It was 78 degrees here yesterday!

Sweet cuddles/hugs for Grandma...

Tickles from Aunt Andrea! :)

What a cutie!!

My motivation to make cook cakes has drastically shrunk with 3 kids...sigh...

Jonas made tacos "his way."

They were delightful.

Layla's big birthday gift this year:  my family, Jonas and I, and even some of J's family contributed to make this gift possible.  The group gift idea was such a success with the pool for Finn/this summer that I thought we should do it again for Layla/this winter!  I think it's going to be awesome.  They love it already!  Plus, it fits perfectly in our basement, but can be used outside in the summer too.

Poor kiddo...she blew out her candles too early and almost cried...here she is trying to take back her "blow"... :/

No one loves a birthday more than Layla!!  No one.

She is the BEST at opening gifts, giving great camera "surprise" faces, and saying thank you.

Grandma hit the jackpot at Goodwill.  These Barbie princess dolls were about 50 cents each, I believe...on Amazon the set sells for $75.  Layla LOVED them, and has slept with them in bed each of the last 2 nights.  :)

One of the best parts about this gift is that Layla gave an Ariel doll to a friend for her birthday gift last month, and she was so sad to give it away...we talked about it for days and days, and she got the part about giving, but she really did grieve the loss of this doll she loved...even if it had been in packaging all along.  ;)  The only two things she talked about wanting this year, over and over, were a pink computer (???), and these big princess dolls.

Turns out they make pink princess computers, too!!!  Thank you Aunt Renee!! :)

JOY.

Lunch today:

On the menu today:
Finn = apple slices
Layla = Almond butter and crackers
Zoey = PBandJ sandwich
Cora = her own toes

Too dark...

Too bright...

Getting better...

Delicious summer baby!!

Layla is dressed like Elsa, Zoey is dressed like Belle.

Finn is trying out Cora's new teething toy while wearing Papa's heavy-duty work gloves.  Because...why not??
(YES, yes, I will sanitize her toy...)

She has found her toes and feet.
