Colorado Skiing

I took another ski trip to Colorado.  Always a great time.  This time we went to Beaver Creek, Keystone, and Vail.  It was Noah, Scooter, and myself this time.  Ben had some little ones to attend to.

If you look at the bottom of this picture you'll see the gondola.  This was one of my favorite places to ski.

Scooter needed his BBQ fix immediately after we got off the plane, so we stopped and got some.

I wish we would have had a better day at Beaver Creek.  It was cloudy and we spent a lot of time actually skiing in the clouds.  I realized how nice it is to have a sunny March day when you're skiing in Colorado.  It does so much towards putting you in a good mood.

More of Beaver Creek village.  Love ski villages.

Noah and I got on the lift with a ski patrol guy who said we heading into an area that was mostly easy, except for one slope we should FOR SURE avoid called the Golden Eagle, a double black diamond.

Scooter wasn't on the lift with us and missed the memo.  -Lead us right to it.

Hard to see the insanely big moguls from one side to the other.  Great run.  Noah wasn't a fan.

Lunch at Beaver Creek.

Noah used his Home Exchange points to get us a place to stay in Frisco.  A little small, but just fine for three guys going skiing.

We went out to eat a number of times.  This place was really good and definitely hit the spot.  Tex Mex is Scooters' go-to.

Day 2 was Keystone.  Fantastic.  Got some sun and some good skiing.  Keystone is a great resort.

We saved the best for last.  Vail.  We have yet to encounter a resort with the amount of terrain that Vail has in Colorado.

Last year we took this photo with the massive Noah in the front and the little guy Ben in the back.  Hilarious.

This year we evened it out a bit and put Noah in back.

It's hard to give you an understanding of the sheer size of Vail just from a few photos.

Altogether it was a great trip.  We kept waiting for things to go wrong like last year:  Ben sick, car wreck, car keys were lost...  hotel room mishaps...  this year was much better.  Scooter got some altitude sickness, but we stopped at an oxygen bar and figured that out fairly quickly.

Great trip.
