We've been having great fun lately decorating wooden peg dolls! I got a bag of 50 dolls on Amazon for $15 total. SO worth it.

A sad story: 2 weeks ago we put $800 into the van for rear brake issues. Then last week we put $900 into the van to replace the AC compressor. Then last Friday someone broke into the van, while it was IN our driveway, tore out the key column, cracked the steering column, and tried to hotwire the car. They FAILED, which gives me no end of joy even if they caused us a lot of stress and money down the drain. Criminals are such geniuses sometimes, eh? We were going to replace this van with our tax return last year, but then that money all had to go for paying for unemployment expenses/blood clot expenses, so here we are. With a van we keep sinking money into. Blah. SO, we went and got a new van. I'll introduce you soon. :) (And when I say "new" I just mean "new to us." We'd never waste money on a truly new vehicle. Used-for-Life, man. Our "new" van has super low miles though, so I'm very thankful for that. It's also never spent a winter in Minnesota, always in Texas, so THAT means great things for rust and upkeep. The lame thing you grow to care about as an adult, right? Haha!).
This event did cause both of us stress though, and impacted both of our sleep for a few nights. It didn't help that the police said the criminals may come BACK out to try again, as they knew the van was just sitting there and would likely not be taken to a repair shop until an insurance adjuster had been out to see it. That was...not fun to hear. I planned some "home alone" style traps for the jerk in my head while awake some nights. But, whatever. I also tried to convince myself someone tried to break into the van to take their poor old Granny to the hospital or something. That was...maybe 20% successful? Haha.
This is the first issue we've ever had after living in this neighborhood for almost 6 years now. I guess it just is what it is. It's a cheap price to pay, in the long run, for such a cheap house and low taxes. I'll just keep reminding myself of that. :)

| This little man right here has been a bit craaaaanky lately. His night sleep is fine still, although he takes a looong time to settle down for his first sleep of the night. After that he's fine. His day sleep is much more fitful during leap 4 here, and he has learned a new skill of an "angry yell." It's so funny it makes me laugh every time. He is developing such a little personality right now, and his angry yell tops of the list of funny things for me. It's for sure a yell, not a cry. He wants you to know he is NOT okay with what is currently going on. Why all of this, you ask? See the picture directly below this one. |

| That pink dot is where Kellan is right now, developmentally. The big blue line? That's leap #4. It goes on FOR.EV.ER. That little thunder cloud right above the pink dot? That's when you can expect your baby to be "extra cranky" during this leap...haha. He's so spot on it's not even funny. 100% average over here! |

| He has a love-hate relationship with this toy. He loves it because he can grab it easily, and he can chew on all of the little wooden knobs. He hates it because he's not very good at removing it from his mouth once he got it there...ha! |
