With the Carlsons:

After naps this afternoon we went over to play at Phil and Emily Carlson's home!  (Okay, Finn and Layla did most of the playing with Corbin and Jadon (sp?), but Laura I thought of our conversation because Phil is a master wood craftsman, and he made his own game...the one you were talking about, that Scooter likes?  The college kids game:  bean bags thrown from two opposite ends into slanted squares with holes in them.  It was the pretties version of that game I've ever seen.  Jonas and Phil played a mighty close game.  :)  )

They invited us over for hanging out and dinner (which I didn't even know until we got there!  Where are the Rydbecks when Jonas and I need better communication methods???) before Phil and Jonas left for a game of golf with Courtney Friesen and Jon.

Wow.  What a LIFE we live here, eh???  :)  Weddings!  Pools!  Naps!  Friends!  Free food!  Great company! Golf!  Maybe a movie tonight?  Who knows??  We live in the land of adventure and excitement!  We're PARENTS, gosh-darn-it!! ;)

Thank you Jesus.  They had two play cars.

Sharing?  Notsomuch.

Brother and sister, showing my kids how it's DONE. ;)

Getting a little tired...

A curls shot...

Saturday morning family fun!

Jonas took half of Friday off so we could make it down to the wedding in Mankato, and we've had Laura in town since Friday, so by the time today rolled around it SERIOUSLY felt like Sunday!  This weekend is going on forever.  Nice! :)

This morning we went off to the Wabun wading pool in Minnehaha Park.  It's best as early in the morning as you can get there, because BOY does it fill up fast!  We left by 11:20 a.m. and it was already packed.

I think the deepest the pool gets is 1.5 feet, but Layla HAD to have her wings on.  She feels very secure in them. :)

Mr. "I HATE GETTING SPLASHED!"

Renee, this suit is so cute too!! :)
And, Layla stole some water toys.  What's new?

Taking water from the fountain and dumping it 2 feet away, in the pool.

Mommy's hack-job of a pony tail.

Taking a break.

Snacks!

Smiles!

Tummy rolls!

While I was distracted he went for the camera...

...so I had to tickle him.

My little fish!

Fun in the sun is too much for Finn.

Layla, however, can be persuaded to stay awake with French fries...

Stef got married!!

I somehow got these photos all out of order, but you'll get the picture anyway.  :)

Stef Jaeger got married this past Friday night at a beautiful country ceremony in her brother's yard!  It was perfectly "her."

We needed to add a bit of drama to the wedding, so we drove around for 45 minutes trying to find it on the slightly scary country roads, then drove RIGHT BY the ceremony, in full swing, in our mini-van.  Aaaaaawesome.  ;)

We were going to change Finn once we got there, hence him attending the ceremony in his sweats.

Aunt Laura, trying not to cry... ;)

Sharing personal thoughts with each other.  :)

Did you know Papa brought vodka in a flask???

Charging the crowd...

I caught on Laura on her return from the "restrooms"... :D

COWS!  REAL COWS!

College gang!

Our "nanny"!  Hahahahahah!

All the kids were getting a hay ride.

Finn wanted one too.

He GOT one.

...as did Jonas.

OH.MY.WORD.  Papa and Ben finally decided to take the gay marriage discussion OUT of the tent and away from the people shooting us DEATH GLARES at the table.  Awkward.  :/

Love this one.  :)

Katie and Stef

Me and Stef

Me, Stef, and Finn's head...thanks Jonas.  :)

Finn going for some ice.

It was pretty darn hot!

Outta here!

MARRIED!

Stef and Noah Stock!

REALLY guys?  Really??? ;)

The grand entrance!

Nice!

Mr. Coy!

Cutting the cake.

"Hey, everyone, raise your Mason jars to Stef and Noah!"

Thaaaaaanks, Baby.  :)

The bride and the MEAL! :)  It was BBQ from Famous Dave's.  The cup Stef is holding had frozen fruit in it.  Oh my WORD it was the most amazing thing on that hot day.  The BBQ was pretty darn good too.  :)

There were big fans in the tent.  Doesn't Laura look like a movie star???
If you can't tell from the photos, we left Layla at home.  Best decision EVER.  It was enough for the three of us to try to watch just Finn while trying to also see the wedding / eat / talk with friends.  Layla was sound asleep by 8:00, before we even left for the 2 hour drive home.  Nice.  Love having family so close by! :)

p.s.  Aunt Laura, thank you so much for all of your help watching Finn.  It was the most time off I/we have had in ages!!! :)
