Last night Renee, Emily (friend from book club) and I went to see the Indigo Girls at Music in the Zoo (MN Zoo amphitheater). It was so, so delightful. The weather was perfect, which is a small miracle in and of itself in MN in August, right? Perfect temp, no bugs...whaaaat? Then right before the show started a bunch of geese did a fly-over in a v-formation. It was so MN.
The girls did not disappoint. They sang almost all of my faves, and the ones that I didn't know as much/were newer were more interesting to me live than on the radio, where I'm always saying "Alexa, skip!" to get back to my older favorites...haha. Emily has some guitar skills, that's for sure.
I'm not sure if this video will work, but it's of Galileo, and you can hear me singing in the background, totally out of tune...but whatever...it was so much fun.
Hooray for one concert every 5 years! ;)
I have to tell you, one of the first songs they played...maybe the second?..was Power of Two. I totally teared up when the started playing, and I don't even know WHY...haha! So many good memories with their music. :)
