A few more Christmas photos

My Mom gets all of the grandkids 1 book to open for the 12 days of Christmas.  It's a very sweet tradition that they all look forward to every morning.

Finn LOVES this veggie tales book.  It has a space on each page for him to draw something, and boy does his imagination take it faaaaaar beyond what they intended...haha.

Mr. Big Boy practicing sitting up in a safe space, before bedtime books.

Yeah, it doesn't last too long usually...

Kellan this morning, by the tree.  You can hear "Messiah" AND loud kids in the background...haha.

This was on Berube Baking Day...Anja and I taking turns entertaining Kellan and dipping pretzels.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

On Christmas Eve we let the kids open one present from us around noon, because we had some party prep to do after that and knew the party would run late.  Cora and Layla each got a holiday barbie from a previous year, and Finn got another remote helicopter.  It was love all around.

Jonas took this photo right before our Christmas Eve party started

Kellan got to try all SORTS of fun things that night.

Grandpa reading Cora's princess book to the kids.

Christmas morning the kids quietly read audio books and played games downstairs until Jonas and Kellan and I got up.  This is one benefit of having kids who have no expectations of opening gifts on Christmas morning...haha! :) They let you SLEEP!  But, as it was going to be "family movie-watching Christmas morning," I did have 2 gifts for each kid:  a pair of Christmas PJs and a fun blanket.  So, they opened those and then we sat around for 3 hours, ate our Christmas cinnamon rolls and bacon, and watched the Muppet Christmas Carol, and Elf.  A perfect morning.  Uncle Eric and Uncle Dan also joined us for most or all of it.

Just waiting patiently on Christmas morning.

Opening the PJs

I tried to take a picture of Jonas and Kellan...

But when I got too close Kellan saw me and got sad.  Story of his development right now...ha.

Love this.

Cora was annoying Layla by removing whole groups of ornaments from the tree to "look at them."

My bacon boy.

We headed over to the Millers around 1:00 on Christmas Day to have appetizers, open one more present, and have the traditional steak dinner.  It was a great time for sure, and lovely that we didn't have crazy roads to drive on.

Entertaining Kellan

Finn got rollerblades!!

Cora eating her second helping of steak.  She didn't want me to cut it up for her, and she didn't want just ONE piece!  My little carnivore.  Love her.
