Well, I took Layla in (a day early) to see Dr. Mayrand today. She's about 25 inches long, head = who cares (right??), and 14 lbs. 3 oz. That means she DROPPED again to the 17th percentile in weight, (down from 31st% at 2 moz. and 21st% at 4 moz.) but she is rather proportional in her height/weight ratio (that's higher--30's?). It's so stinking annoying because she eats ALL THE TIME...how can she not be a chunk? The doctor said that at this rate she's probably going to be about 5 feet 3 or 4 inches when she's an adult, so BUMMER Layla! (-: You clearly got Mama's genes for height, not Daddy's. We'll start solid foods soon, but we're going to take it really slow because of her food allergy tendencies. The funny thing is, one recommendation is that you don't start babies on solids until they have at least doubled their birth weight, and that's usually around 4-6 months. If we waited for that for Layla she might not eat solids until 9 months! Stinker. (-: I have no new pictures right now, but her month-to-month growth pictures will come tomorrow when she is officially 6 months. Ciao.
Layla, Finn, Cora and Kellan Schaefer's blog, for all the family members far and near who miss and love them...and who don't mind such a shamelessly Schaefer children-centered space.
