First Snow:

Layla has been waiting and WAITING for the snow to fall.

Today, she got her wish.  Sort of.  It was rather a sad little snow, so no sledding or snow men yet, and those snow angels needed a bit of interpretation.  :)

I don't know why the color was so off for these next two videos.  It switches back to normal 1/2 way through the last one...

The worst winter ever. Maybe. Okay, not ever...but I hate it here right now.

Saturday, April 13th, in MN. Sigh.

What's that, you say?  It's mid-April?  No, it's NOT.  Not in MN.  

I put the girls to work shoveling snow this weekend.  They each had the opportunity to earn $5 if they shoveled their section of sidewalk.  

Claire lasted 5 minutes, complained of utter exhaustion, and had to go inside.  

Anja cheerfully worked the whole time, earned her $5, and even did more.  :)

I was threatening to put gloves on him.  

Our first major expense as a home-owners will be to re-pour our cement steps.  We look rather ghetto now...
