You have been warned. This story is all about poop. Read at your own risk.
So, Layla has this little potty chair right next to her bed. Mostly she uses the big potty chairs in the bathrooms, of course, but when I put her in her room for rest time I prefer not to have to RUN up there if she has to go. Also, she sometimes gets up at night and goes to the bathroom all on her own now, and that is also something I'd prefer to stay asleep for. :)
Mostly Layla poops in the big potty chair, but sometimes she'll poop in her little chair during rest time. For whatever reason, THAT seems to be "the time" for her. :) When this happens I remove the chair bottom, swish some water in there to "loosen things up," make sure her butt is nice and clean, and then flush it all as God intended. ;) Layla has seen me do this countless times.
On Saturday morning Layla woke up at FIVE a.m. 5. It was awful. I tried to snuggle with her to help her fall back to sleep, but no dice, she was up for the day. "I" was NOT up for the day yet, so I put her back in her room with my Kindle and promptly went back to sleep. At 8:00 a.m. both Jonas and I woke up to Layla pushing open the door of our room, pants around her ankles as she slowly tottered towards me with the white bottom of her potty chair in both hands. It was clear she was walking carefully, and from the smell I knew why. I groggily sat up just as she said "Look, Mama! I go POOP!"
She THRUST the container at me, and brown nasty poop liquid went EVERYWHERE. On the bed....on ME!!!!!! It was one of the most horrific moments of my life. I'm only telling you about it now because it's taken me this long to get over the absolute horror and disgust. It's now mildly funny.
One moment I was sleeping, nice and warm, finally able to sleep in a little on a Saturday morning...and the next I had SHIT all over me!!!!!!!!!!!!! GAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! It was awful.
She had clearly seen me swishing water into the bowl base and had decided to help me out.
Oh my word. Awful, awful, awful. Just awful. I had to wash so much stuff just to be rid of that foul smell upstairs.
So, there it is folks. My poop story. :)
