Love.

Molly Piper pretty much already wrote this blog post, so if you wanted to see it better written you could go see that one:  http://mollypiper.com/2012/11/a-vacuum-for-christmas-youll-thank-me/

Folks, I'm in love.

Our first floor is entirely wood floors, and since we spend 95% of our time on the first floor, I needed a good vacuum for...well, wood floors.  :)  We have a crappy one for the carpet upstairs, which is fine...it does enough of the job until we've got the money to invest in a vacuum again.  And by a vacuum I mean a Dyson.  ;)

Originally, when thinking about getting a first floor vacuum, I knew that I wanted a stick one that is battery powered.  I was thinking about getting this one (hoover stick vacuum) after a recommendation from a friend, but when I saw Molly's blog I knew I had found the one for me.

And I was right.

It's awesome.

I swear I use it at least 3 times a day.  There is no greater satisfaction than hearing the sound of dirt and filth leaving your floors!  I love to vacuum (but I actually really dislike having to plug the vacuum into a new outlet in each room...man I can whip around so fast without having to do that, or maneuver around cords...), but I hate to sweep, so boy were our floors not in "prime" condition at our old apartment.  Now they are pretty near spotless 85% of the day, and when they are not spotless I'm just itching to clean them.  Finn loves it too.  He knows that I get to go first, but when I empty the dirt out then it's his turn!  It's so light that he can haul it around, and I think he even manages to get some dirt every now and then.  Can you take a guess when his first real chore might be??  Yessssssssss.  Unless I love it too much to give it up...

It's $150 on Amazon, but when I got it I signed up for their credit card, so I only paid $100 (promotional $50 taken off of your first Amazon order on that card).  BAM.  Jackpot!  So totally worth the money it's not even funny.

Sigh.  That's all.  Just thought you might want to know what I'm loving these days.  :)

Go get one:  Best vacuum ever!
