We've fallen easily back into the school pattern during the week, and one of the great things about our patterns is Jonas taking Kelland (and often Cora) on a walk or adventure so I can do more of the "concentration needed" subjects with the older 2. Kellan ALWAYS wants to go for a drive, so they have driven to local, close parks and gone exploring. I'm jealous of their lovely views! :)
Kellan, 1 year apart: Last year and this year.
On this particular day we were doing some fun drawing tutorials. We learned how to draw a minion, and after I draw one with Layla and Finn, Cora takes my book and colors it. Kellan wants to play too, but he always wants Finn to draw a dinosaur so he can scribble over it.
I still have basically no idea where to look when taking a selfie. Know who DOES know? Cora. Haha.

Fall decorations are UP now! Fall decorations kind of bleed into Thanksgiving decorations, which is a ways away still, but bring it on. As always, thanks to my mother for being the source of basically every decoration I have.
October 1st was my mom's birthday, and my brother Eric's birthday. Here are the kids singing happy birthday to my mom, below...

Jonas went over to my parent's house to help them put together their fancy new gas fire pit for outside. Outside fire devices are how we plan to survive the winter! We've got fire pits and heat lamps galore around here!
There is no one in the world who thinks about food more than Cora. She wants it, and talks about it, and thinks about it SO MUCH. When she actually does have food she immediately starts to think about the next thing she wants. Here she is observing Papa make a snack for them that she adored. This was right after she discovered balsamic vinegar.

They found a park with diggers for Kellan! He was thrilled.
Know what is the worst thing in the world to little kids? Sand in shoes. DEATH to sand in shoes!!!
