While Layla and I were out on the sea wall, the rest of the family was getting some ice cream and Mexican street food.
Then we drove up to grab lunch and go to Moonlight beach in Encinitas. Jonas rented a wet suit and body board (along with a surf board later on) and spent hours in the water, while the kids mostly played on the playground.
This is Kellan, about 5 minutes before he lost his mind, emotionally...

MELTDOWN. Too many days of some lost sleep and not-normal nutrition. Jonas tried to help by giving him a ride on the board. It looked fun to ME, but alas, no dice. Meltdown continued.
I took him up to the van, leaving the kids at the playground and Jonas in the water, so everyone could have a good time. He calmed down watching some Diego and Dora, and the poor people behind us on the beach didn't have to listen to him cry anymore.
I took the kids to Wendy's, then to an ice cream shop with 50 flavors, and finally we went back to pick up Jonas.
