Layla's Pictures

Guys, this is one of the funniest things to me.  Layla is OBSESSED with taking pictures.  She has been using our old point-and-click digital camera for months to take pictures, and I finally went back and got some of them off the camera tonight.  This is just a small sampling... :)

It all started with me taking their monthly pictures (mental note to upload those tomorrow).  She wanted to start doing it too, so when I would be taking pictures of Finn she would get down next to me, hold a block up to her face, and then say "Mile, mile, mile, mile!!" 

Pretty soon the block just wasn't cutting it anymore, and she needed a REAL camera.  She's actually very careful with it, although I often have to re-teach her that she can't "see" a picture in the window if her fingers are blocking the camera lens.

She is fixated with this toy giraffe, pictured below.  ALL of her photo shoots start out with the giraffe on the floor of the living room, and then she'll take pictures of anything else...but they all have to start with THIS toy.  We've spent many nights looking for him, believe me...

So, here you go...Layla's first venture into the world of photography!  :)

Finn is sad.  Shocker.  Layla has something he wants... ;)

This time he was lucky.  He got to bring a friend.

This is my favorite.  Finn HATES it when she gets the camera and he can't have it too, especially now that he can crawl after her fast and REACH for it with every fiber of his being.  He was so depressed about it today.  Layla continued to document his sorrow as I tried to comfort him, below...
