Skiing day 2

Jonas had work off on Monday, and it was the first warm day (33 degrees high) in ages, so he decided to take Finn skiing for a second time.  I took all 3 kids to Como Zoo, the free zoo near us, and then Jonas came and picked Finn up there as a surprise.  Super fun.  :)

Layla and Cora and I had our first "girls only" date out and ate lunch at the Como Cafe.  Cora, the entire time, sang "Amazing Grace" at the top of her lungs.  I'm pretty sure the rest of the patrons didn't know what she was singing, but it was adorable to me.  :)

So, Finn, being the cute guy he is, was pretty hilarious this time out.  He did really well, rarely fell, and there were out there for 5 hours straight hitting "the slope" (hahaha...oh, Como, you are your tiny hill...but perfect for a little kid to learn on for the first few times), so Finn slept GREAT that night.  Wow.  Anyway, Finn has been super into talking about God lately.  We discuss God every night before bed, and Finn is establishing some very strong theological beliefs, even if we try to convince him they might not be so accurate.  ;)

Today Finn had decided that he was "saved" at the end of every run:  either Papa saved him by helping him stop, or God saved him by letting Finn finish the run all on his own without falling down.

Clearly, Finn wanted to finish the run all on his own every time, so as they would be skiing down Finn would be yelling at Jonas at the top of his lungs "LET GOD SAVE ME!! LET GOD SAVE ME!!!"  Every.time.  Even if he would be heading straight for a tree, or a fence, he wanted Jonas to leave him alone and let God save him.   I still laugh just thinking about it.  (Extra funny bit:  there were a bunch of Somali people there learning how to ski for the first time as well, so they got to hear little old Finn yell about God as he flew past them...haha!)
