Random photos

Sorry, not many photos taken lately!  We have hit the mostly boring do-not-much winter segment of my blog...haha.

This cracked me up.  Finn made a birthday card for my brother Dan.  It's someone's finger on the bottom, texting "happy birthday uncle Dan" on a phone.  Hahaha!  Yes, mostly they see Uncle Dan on his phone or computer.  Ha!

Little man sucking on apples.

Cora got a haircut a few weeks ago and loooooved the pink they sprayed in her hair.

I like Kellan photo bombing in the background here.

Sunday morning art.  See Finn's painting of Luke Skywalker on the left?

Dancing to Rend Collective and pretending it's Uncle Jon.

Jonas put Finn in charge of fires this year.  Finn is in heaven.  We have about 4 fires a week for the past month...haha!

Little man likes books now!  He might look like a clone of his father, but this is MY genes coming through now! :)

This face says "I slept for 5 minutes in the car and will no sleep now."

So much action and blur in my photos these days.

Kellan's first meat:  rotisserie chicken from Costco.

He LOVED it even though the photo makes it look like he is gagging.
Jonas and Dan couldn't handle watching him at the dinner table, haha, but I'm happy with any eating practice that happens without me doing anything or needing to be involved in any way!

I love watching my babies sleep.  Love it.
It was our anniversary on Friday, so we dropped off the older 3 kids with my Mom and took Kellan out to eat at Punch Pizza.  If you ever want to hear Jonas enjoy a meal, take him to Punch.  :) . Kellan was a perfect angle and quietly sucked on a crust the whole time while we ate.  Jackpot!

BLAH.  The worst.  Hello early November in MN.  :(

Cora's spa day.

My little artist.

This past Saturday:  date for Finn and Jonas, and a fire for all the kids in the backyard.

We've been trying to be more intentional about the kids getting one on one time with Jonas lately.  They seem him a lot in the family unit, but the alone time is priceless.  My suggestion to Jonas was to take the kids to Burger King for their 79 cents ice cream cones...because hey, dates don't need to be expensive to be fun, right?  Haha.  That worked for Layla, but Finn wanted to up their game to East Side Pizza.

This is how I saved myself loads of time and headaches.  From day 1 I convinced them that this was how a marshmallow should look when making smores.  So they just light them on fire, patiently watch them burn out all of the sugar on the outside, and then make smores.  This requires NO PARENT HELP, people.  Amen and amen.

The view from the back porch.

No place he would ever rather be than outside.

She's the best big sister ever.
SO HELPFUL to me.  Like, for REAL helpful.
