A quarantine Palm Sunday:

Our church left the box of palm fronds outside the doors for people to pick up, if they wanted to use them at home as they followed along online.  We mostly just used ours in the parking lot, haha.

Puzzle time:
Puzzles kind of stress me out, but Jonas and Finn enjoy them, so they spent the last 2 days doing this VERY hard puzzle that Jonas brought back from Poland.  They got it done in the weekend, though!  I was impressed.

 Cake decorating begins:
Layla celebrated Taryn's first birthday by making her a cake!  She baked the cake on her own last night, and then today she did the frosting and decorating.

She originally wanted to go much . more elaborate with the piping, but we didn't have tons of different dyes to work with, so I encouraged her to just learn how to work with the tools this time.  We're going to make some cupcakes for Easter, so we'll practice a bit more with different shaped tips then.

She was so proud of this and had loads of fun.

True story:  Buttercream is WAY over-rated.  Why do people love this stuff?
But the cake was still very tasty.
