Finn's birthday comes first, on April 19th (just in our immediate family).
Kellan got to open one present on Finn's birthday too, because he doesn't quite get the idea of "not my birthday" yet, and as his was coming up in a few days anyway, we spread out his gifts over ALL the kids April birthdays, haha. Lazy, maybe. But oh so much more pleasant and peaceful in the long run.

There are 7 April birthday in the extended Berube family. SEVEN. So, we got together on April 25th so celebrate them all. We were inside together for the first time in 14 months, thanks to all the adults being vaccinated! Hooray for science! Cora, Kellan, Finn, and Taryn opened presents.
Kellan got these sweet Batman pajamas from Eamon. He has worn them nightly ever since.
Cora's "friends" birthday party was on Saturday the 24th, which is Kellan's actual birthday. We didn't really tell him that Cora borrowed his day this year.
She was SO excited about this present: $10 for Roblox dollars, which equals 800 Robux! Wheee!
I absolutely hate games like musical chairs, and I always have, but the kids love it, so who am I to hold them back? Blah.
Kathleen, Dan's girlfriend, gave each kid a very thoughtful present on their birthday. Here she is reading Kellan his little T-rex book.
Layla stepped up to the plate on the 25th and did a LOT of cake baking and decorating with me.

Finn's party with some local friends was scheduled for April 18th, but then after a year of being perfectly healthy he woke up that morning throwing up. Of course. Because: pandemic birthdays! Haha. Poor kid. He was crushed, because he had NO party with friends last year, and this year it was a small outside event...but it was so hard for him to cancel. Sigh. So we've scheduled it again for this Friday evening, fingers crossed for great weather!
