I didn't intend to do it, initially...I just wanted a place to post an unhappy observation, and then my voting experience was so bad too that I had to share...but I do NOT really intend for this to be a place of political discussion, or even theological discussion! And I certainly didn't want to get everyone on FB all worked up...most of them were trying very hard to be civil and polite. :)
It's mostly about kids. Kids pictures, and kids videos. Maybe every now and then a picture of Jonas, myself, or a house might show up...but it's mostly about kids.
THAT makes for a happy blog.
That's what I aim for in the future, again. :)
*We are doing our final walk-through on the house today, and then hope to close tomorrow at 2:30 p.m., so your prayers are appreciated!
**Urgh. Well, as usual, the closing for today was delayed...again. It "might" happen tomorrow at 8:00, but otherwise they are not aiming for Tuesday morning. So. We wait. More. It would be very frustrating to miss the moving opportunity (and help!) offered this weekend...
***Friday, 10:47. Yep, you guessed it!!! No one knows when our closing might be today!!! There are a whole bunch of people who need to show up to a 2 hour meeting today, and NO ONE KNOWS when this meeting might be. Our schedule just needs to be "on hold and available" from noon on. Fine by us, but I wonder how all of the other working professionals feel about that kind of lunacy!
****Friday, 1:30. The loan package should have been to the closer an hour ago. No one seems to know where it is. I tell you, if you think the government / election system need an overhaul, you should try buying a house these days! CRA.ZY! So many people doing so many jobs so poorly.
*****Friday, 3:16. Got a call from someone at our realty office. She finally got in touch with our loan officer and sort of strong-armed him into calling the company in charge of sending our loan package to the closer. Turns out they "hit the wrong button" when sending it this morning and it never got sent. So they started over today. TOO LATE to close. Too late for us to move this weekend. This totally, totally messes with our schedule and makes moving out of here very stressful rather than an easy, week-long process.
