I could list a million things that are perfection about living in MN (fall here being near the top of the list...), and I can really only think of 2.5 big downsides to it:
1. The people on the east and west coast think you are idiots. So, there is that. If you care about what elite snobs think about you, then don't live here.
1.5. Mosquitoes. Especially if you live way out in the wood lands, they can be intense sometimes. But in the cities they are almost always next to nothing. And if they do happen to bother you when you live in the cities, you can call the mosquito control hotline, and they'll come out and nuke your area...so that's a nice use of tax dollars! Lisa approved. :) (See also: reasons why global warming may be happening more.) I only gave this point half a point of value because you only are subjected to it if you choose to live in the scary places.
2. Winter driving. I don't say winter weather, because for a lot of people snow is super fun, and if you have the right clothes it's no big deal at all. But the driving is a BIG deal. It can be awful sometimes, and I hate subjecting my kids to that kind of danger and the idiot drivers around me on a regular basis in the winter. The snow is fine...it's the roads covered in ice that scare me.
Other than those 2.5 items, MN is the perfect place to live. As today shows. Jonas had to go put on shorts because it was just too hot to be outside in pants, for him. There you have it, folks! :)

| Our whole area seems to be BRIGHT YELLOW right now. It's a yellow so intense it hurts your eyes sometimes! A very fun change from the green of summer, for sure. Love it. |
