Zoey's visit, day #3: Swimming at Oxford Community Center / Great River Water Park

On a freeeeeeeeeezing day #2 we went to the MN Zoo (the inside stuff, the like aquarium, tropical trail, etc.).  We had loads of fun seeing the bird show, but I didn't bring the camera along for the ride.

On day #3 we went to the Great River Water Park at Oxford Community Center.  I forgot how great it is during the winter, to swim and feel warm.  :)  On Mondays and Wednesdays they have half price open swim, so it only cost me $12 for all 5 of us to swim for 2 hours.  $2.50 a child, not bad, eh??  We went from 10:30-12:30 and closed the place down.  Then we went over to my parent's house and picked up Lauren to take her to the airport.  She left for Hawaii today, to visit a friend there.  Somehow her going to Hawaii seemed a one-up on our water park visit...haha.  :)  I'm so happy for her, really!!

Now Zoey has gone home, and Cora cried the entire time we waved goodbye to her.  Come again soon, Zoey!  We'll be waiting with a list of fun things to do together.  :)

One of the fun "station" things in the middle of the shallow pool (only 1.5 feet at the deepest)
Then there is a wading pool that the water slides feed into (3.5 feet, where the kids love to swim most)
And then there is the Olympic size swimming pool, 4 feet at the shallow end to I-don't-know-what at the deep end. That pool is COLD, so we don't spend much time in there.  :)
