Saturday Family Fun:

The day started with healthy habits...

It was actually a very cloudy, misty, foggy, drab start to the day...but around 2:00 it became beautifully sunny!  Hooray! Time for some outside family fun time!

We headed off to Teddy Bear Park in Stilwater.  Finn, of course, finds and climbs any stairs available.  This is the best kind:  short flight, contained at the top with railings around everywhere.  The only thing better would be carpet...

She's looking behind her because Finn is coming down next...

Smiling up at me on her way to run around again...

Mr. "All by myself."

Here she comes!

She loves a good audience.

She also loves to wait until the good audience is annoyed...

He had enough of her waiting and just shoved her down.

Waiting for Finn!!! :)

Exploring.

Watching the big kids play on the other slide.

Exploring the sand.

Down by the river...

Watching the bridge.

A few fries at DQ.

On the way there we noticed this really lame little side-of-the-road Fall attraction.  I've never been there in my life, and didn't plan to go, BUT they had live animals.  BINGO.  Layla heaven.  So, we stopped on our way home.  :)

Feeding the goats corn from the ground.

Running.  Exploring.  Etc.

He cares almost nothing about animals.  He just wants to run.  And play with the flaps on the feed machines.

She just stood here with her hand on the side of the goat's head for a loooong time.  :)  Then the goat went "baaaaaa" and scared the PANTS off of her.  Jonas was almost crying he was laughing so hard...her reaction and funny little run were comical, for sure, but I was too busy being a comforting Mommy to laugh as hard as HE was laughing!! ;)

What a ham!  I never get her to smile at the camera like this normally!

Ah, yes.  Here is my classic shot.  Both of them looking away, Finn MOVING away.

This cow would not eat from her hand, and she tried so hard and for so long to get him to eat.  She was very sad about this.  She did not want to go home until he had eaten...so we ended the day with some (more) tears.  ;)

On another note, they are BOTH pretty sick now.  Finn woke up early from his nap today totally sounding like croup, so I have no great hopes for tonight.  :(  Poor kiddos.  Snot and hacking and coughing and spitting and throwing up all over Mommy's new sweater...yep, just another day of Winter weather with kids, am I right?  I'm so right.  :)
