There are a million reasons why St. Paul/Minneapolis/MN are great places to live, especially for families, but one small reason is the money that is spent on wonderful (free!) outdoor activities...year round.
Last year the city spent a lot of money renovating all of the trails and boardwalks (they go from lakeside to park to lakeside to park, for miles and miles...) near where we live, and so Sunday night we finally went for a walk along a section of the trails and boardwalks we've never been on before. It was delightful. The weather was perfect, the sun was golden, and the kids were happy to RUN.
