The kids were all STARVING by 10:00 a.m., after 2 hours of swimming, so we headed back up to our room for snacks. The stood by the window, looking down on the pool area (we were on the 4th floor), completely mesmerized. |
In previous years we had always come to this hotel in mid-winter, or early spring. This year it was late enough that the outside area of the hotel was open: an outdoor pool, playground, and mini-golf. The hotel is annoying and tacky in a few areas (like most anything an adult would care about), but it's perfect for kids, and you really can't beat the view of the hotel! It sits RIGHT by the water, and being able to watch huge shipping boats and sail boats float by while watching the kids is not a bad gig at all. :)

| Awesome. I'm sure there are NO germs on that swing. |

After 2 days of swimming her head became a mass of curls, and I became obsessed with taking pictures of her curls. I have...ah...way too many pictures like this. |
Off to do mini golf!
| But seriously...those curls, right??? |
| She's a big time cheater, with no shame. ;) |
From here, we went back to the room to pack and check out, then headed back down to the Canal Park area one more time to walk out to the lighthouse, chase the seagulls, etc.
| Jonas looks a bit put out here, but he was really having a great time. Promise. |
A very loud horn went off RIGHT HERE, and Finn is not a fan of loud noises. The bridge was going up to let the ship through, so that was fun to watch! :) |
| Plugging his ears for all remaining noises... |
Tons of sailboats were out, right by the lighthouse. Jonas was in heaven. |
| Chasing those seagulls!! |
| Cora was so cute running after the birds that lots of the people sitting around this square started taking pictures of HER chasing the birds. Haha. I would have, too, if I were them! :) |
The crash on the drive home:
