Today is Monday, so this summer that means Adventure Day! :) Of all the kids, Cora has locked onto that title the most, and on our way this morning she asks me "Mama, we going on adventure??" Yep, we were indeed.
We met my cousin Erin and her 3 kids at Elm Creek Nature swimming area...super fun. She, like me, likes to get places right at opening...love it. We were the first and second families there, got an umbrella, and enjoyed a near perfect day. The "pool" is a man made lake that is chlorinated and filtered. A lake for the squeamish folks...haha. The kids loved it, but after 4 hours there it was time to head home and drop Layla off at her official "Mother's Helper" gig for the summer: helping Ms. Lauren every Monday afternoon for a few hours. She adores doing this...wants to prove she's a big girl any way she can.
Awesome day. Adventure Monday? CHECK.
