My kids can sometimes be the WORST photo-takers in the world...haha. They ASKED to take this photo! WANTED to! Then? These are the results. :)

Despite their lack of skills, VBS love is still going strong (this was on our way out at the church). Things I have learned in VBS hunting: go to a mega-church, or at minimum a rich one. The kids have died and gone to heaven. They have never seen so much money spent on kids programming in all their lives |
Layla's hamster needed food, so a run to the pet store was in order. They love to scare the fish. :(
Today during VBS I spent 3 hours at Starbucks, drinking iced tea and planning for the next school year. I got a lot of bare-bones stuff in place, but it's still a bit rough, and a bit too FULL. Need to weed down more I'm pretty sure. We need lots of slow time, empty space, and time for the kids to be bored around here. Filling every minute of a day is no bueno.
A few photos from J's phone from the last months:

This train is right outside our pediatrician's office. So, you know...it's the regular stop for sure.

Finn was so excited to find a book about babysitting a Grandma...had to have Grandma herself read it!

Summer fashion show...
Finn and Jonas on a walk up at our Father's Day cabin:

They were off seeking adventure.
On our most recent vacation: the kids loved to sleep in the loft area.

Classic, right?

Okay, now, I'm gonna feel really bad if letting her play around when she was 3 leads to a life of disease and social stigma for being a smoker! "But PAPA acted like it was cool!" ;)

This is what you get when you ask Cora to smile. She says "cheese" like her life depends on it.

Helping Papa pick out a book at the store. Wearing Layla's ballet outfit from Aunt Ruth, and sneakers 1 size too big...
