Last night we let the kids stay up extra late, skipped bedtime, and walked down to the lake. *happy sigh* It was so lovely. Finn and Layla swam, and Cora threw rocks. It was great.
Tonight for dinner we ate outside, as we've been doing whenever possible. I made fish tacos, which 4/5 of the family members love, so...good enough for me, right? :)
Jonas and I started the night out right by eating alone while the kids swam, THEN having them join us after a peaceful conversation or two. Brilliant. Everyone was happy.

This is a video of me putting Cora to bed...it's only audio because it's pitch black in her room at night, and you can hear the fan in the background, but the singing still comes through. We sing this 4-5 times a night before she goes to sleep. :) And OTHER songs too, including the Fox Song.
THEN, the big moment of the night came while I was putting Cora to sleep. Jonas took Layla out and she completed her "learning to ride a bike" process! She was SO THRILLED about it when she came back that Jonas took Finn out, and he finished learning too...haha! Two for one tonight! He didn't have his phone with him when he was out with Layla, but here is the video Jonas took of Finn. *Jonas gets ENDLESS delight out of the end of this video...
We'll get some good video of Layla riding tomorrow...then it's off to Target to get properly fitting helmets! Layla actually needs a bigger bike too, I think, but we'll see if she can make this one work for a while. A new bike would be a great birthday gift, coming up...
